Basic introduction of silicon carbide furnace tube
Silicon carbide, commonly known as emery, also known as moissanite, is a typical covalent bond compound that hardly exists in nature. Silicon carbide furnace tubes are made of this material. In 1890, Eword and G. Acheson prepared silicon carbide when they wanted to synthesize diamond by adding silicon to carbon as a catalyst. With high hardness, wear resistance, oxidation resistance and other characteristics, it is widely used in aviation, machinery, automobile, metallurgy, chemical industry, electronics and other fields. According to the firing process, silicon carbide can be divided into recrystallized silicon carbide ceramics, reactive sintered silicon carbide ceramics, pressureless sintered silicon carbide ceramics, hot-pressed sintered silicon carbide ceramics, high-temperature hot isostatic pressing sintered silicon carbide ceramics, and chemical vapor deposition carbonization silicon. The properties of silicon carbide prepared by various processes are quite different, so various processes can be used to manufacture silicon carbide ceramics with different properties to meet various needs.
